Hour 1: A suicide bombing was carried out in Pakistan at a park where many families were celebrating Easter. Of the 70 killed, around 30 are believed to be children. Some video of the gruesome aftermath. South Carolina Republicans are trying to crack down on refugees receiving aid with a bill saying groups that aid refugees will be required to register them into a database. The bill also states that they will held responsible for any crimes the refugees commit.
Hour 2: Iadarola and Ana hosting. PEZ’s annual Easter egg hunt in Connecticut was canceled because some parents became too competitive. The parents took over kids-only fields, disregarded timers, and shoved children. Two LGBT advocacy groups and three individuals filed a lawsuit in federal court challenging the North Carolina law that nullified local LGBT rights ordinances and restricted transgender people’s access to restrooms. The Georgia governor has vetoed an religious freedom law and anti-gay bill. HB 757 would have given faith-based organizations in Georgia the option to deny services and jobs to LGBT people. Several companies including Disney and the NFL said they oppose the bill and will cut ties with the state if it is passed.
