Hour 1: Segment 1
Cenk, Ana, & Alonzo Bodden. 12th year TYT anniversary. Various White House officials were taken off guard and frustrated by President Trump's impromptu Florida interview with The New York Times, according to Friday report from The Washington Post. The Post said that Times reporter Michael Schmidt gained access to the president at Mar-a-Lago on Thursday after club member Christopher Ruddy introduced the president and the reporter. No aides were present during the on-the-record session.

Segment 2
President Donald Trump has already predicted he will win re-election in 2020, and that the news media will cheerlead his path to victory because "they basically have to let me win." Trump gave a wide-ranging and impromptu 30-minute interview with The New York Times' Michael Schmidt at his golf club in West Palm Beach, Florida, on Thursday, in which he said the media will embrace the president ahead of the 2020 election because it's in their financial interest to do so. "Another reason that I’m going to win another four years is because newspapers, television, all forms of media will tank if I’m not there because without me, their ratings are going down the tubes,” Trump said. President Donald Trump tweeted Thursday that "we could use a little bit of that good old global warming" in response to the bitter cold hitting the East Coast this week, but seems to confuse weather with climate.

Hour 1: Cenk. Trump wishes the troops a Merry Christmas. President Donald Trump joined his family at their “Winter White House” for the holidays Friday night after signing the GOP tax bill into law, and reportedly told wealthy friends dining at Mar-a-Lago, “You all just got a lot richer.” As Democrats launch an aggressive campaign to challenge Republicans in congressional races across the country in 2018, the party is faced with an uncomfortable rift over one key issue: whether to use a potential majority in the House to impeach the president. Recent polling shows that a majority of Democrats — up to 75% — support impeaching President Donald Trump. A late October poll found that 49% of all voters support impeachment. And this fall, Democratic mega-donor Tom Steyer launched a $10 million national television and digital ad campaign calling for Democrats to impeach the president, whose approval ratings recently dipped to 32%.
Earlier this month, 58 House Democrats, led by Rep. Al Green of Texas, voted to impeach Trump, defying party leadership, including Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi, who said now "is not the time" to consider impeachment. "I think a lot of the base would push strongly for impeachment. I think many of us feel like the lines have been crossed.”
But Democratic lawmakers are mixed on the issue. Many are wary that pursuing removal charges may alienate independents and conservative Democrats, costing them their majority in the House, if they do manage to flip the chamber next year.

The teenager, who is not named due to his minor status, shot the Frickers after getting into their home. Police indicate that the teen also suffered from a self-inflicted gunshot wound and is currently in critical condition.

Hour 1: Cenk. As Republican lawmakers work toward finalizing legislation to overhaul the U.S. tax code, consumer advocates are bracing for an ensuing showdown over entitlement programs. At issue is the $1 trillion or so that the tax-cut package would add to the federal deficit over a decade even after economic growth is taken into account, according to estimates from the Joint Committee on Taxation. Advocates' concern is that the GOP will pursue ways to pare the federal government's most expensive budget line items — which also happen to be social safety nets — to offset the price tag of their tax-cut package. The Senate Intelligence Committee is looking at the presidential campaign of the Green Party’s Jill Stein for potential “collusion with the Russians,” a sign that the panel’s probe is far from over, even as allegations swirl that the House Intelligence Committee’s investigation is racing to a close. Hour 1: Cenk & John. Ryan and McConnell have ushered the biggest tax overhaul in a generation through Congress and delivered President Donald Trump his first major legislative victory since Inauguration Day. But on the periphery is palpable angst, particularly in the House. Just hours before the Tuesday vote, some House Republicans fretted privately about the prospect of getting railroaded into propping up Obamacare by the end of the week. And conservatives have been stewing quietly over a looming legislative package coming in early January that most believe will increase spending and codify an Obama-era immigration program they believe is illegal.
