Cenk hosting. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu addressed a joint meeting of Congress today with references of the Holocaust in relationship to Iran’s nuclear program, Cenk breaks down Netanyahu’s speech. |
Mon, 2 March 2015
Cenk and Desi Doyen hosting. Thousands of protesters marched in Moscow after Putin’s opposition leader was gunned down in the streets. Questions of whether Putin and the Kremlin are behind it are being thrown around. Both Cenk and Desi talk about why its obvious that Putin was behind it. A Russian TV anchor is already toeing the government line that accusations are nothing but conspiracy theories by the West, who are probably the actual culprits. One of O’Reilly’s latest lies has been solidified as a fabrication by his own mouth. Video of Bill telling Fox & Friends that he chased a potential accomplice to the JFK murder to his suicidal end. Audio of Bill from 1977 that proves he wasn’t anywhere near Florida on that day since he was planning to fly down after the shooting took place |
Thu, 26 February 2015
Cenk and John Iadarola hosting. The FCC’s decision on Net Neutrality has come down, mostly in favor of fair internet access. Talk about the muddied message Republicans had to pitch in order to attempt to destroy this legislation. Bill O’Reilly has been caught in yet another lie that he has been telling over the years that prop him up as an amazing guy. Videos of Bill telling people about witnessing nuns being gunned down in El Salvador while he was there covering wars. Video of O’Reilly telling the same story accurately, acknowledging that he arrived to El Salvador after the nuns were killed. He also wrote in his book that he got there after the nuns were murdered. Fox News has come out in even more defense of old Bill. Cenk points out that Bill and FNC haven’t responded to the JFK lie and the nuns lie since they can’t spin it to blame others for attacking him. |
Wed, 25 February 2015
Cenk hosting today. Despite Elizabeth Warren’s declarations that she isn’t going to run for President against Hillary Clinton, she gave a very lukewarm answer to Clinton’s liberal credentials with Al Sharpton. This makes Cenk wonder why she would take this approach if it isn’t to set up a run against Hillary. On CPAC’s list of speakers at their annual convention, Dr. Ben Carson’s bio had a picture of Sen Tim Scott instead of Carson. CPAC responded to the Washington Post reporter’s tweet about it by claiming he photoshopped the image to embarrass CPAC. One of the editors at Ben Howe came out in favor of CPAC’s claim of a photoshopping scheme. Bill O’Reilly has been caught in yet another lie. This time the fabrications are about his assertions that he chased down an accomplice to the assassination of JFK right before he committed suicide. Bill made it sound like the man shot himself because he was hot on his trail. Other reporters that worked with O’Reilly at the time have come forward to point out that he wasn’t even in the same city when the suicide occurred. |
Tue, 24 February 2015
Cenk hosting today. A debate in Idaho about women’s reproductive rights led to a Republican representative asking if a woman swallows a camera, will it end up in her vagina for a gynecological exam. Ron Paul was on a radio show talking about how the Congressional Black Caucus was opposed to war only because they wanted the money to go to food stamps back at home. Cenk points out the breakdown of food stamp use among races in the country. Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker is championing an anti-union bill for his state that would hurt the working class. When the language of the bill was reviewed, it was discovered that it was copied nearly word for word from ALEC. Wolf PAC has taken its 4th state for Free & Fair elections in New Jersey. Video of the final vote. Videos of volunteer Walker Green talking about his appendix exploding the night before the vote, causing him to miss it. |
Mon, 23 February 2015
Cenk hosting. Bill O’Reilly’s battle over Mother Jones’ story about his exaggerated war coverage has escalated. After bashing David Corn’s story on Friday, other CBS reporters that were in Argentina with him in 1982 are refuting his bombastic defense. Videos of O’Reilly’s defense and name calling and videos of CBS’ Eric Engberg giving his side of the story, including Bill getting kicked off the war coverage. Multiple other CBS veterans spoke out about how O’Reilly’s accounts were untrue. |
Fri, 20 February 2015
Power Panel of Cenk, Ben, John, and Jimmy Dore. Mother Jones has published an extensive article claiming that Bill O’Reilly has a similar problem that Brian Williams had with exaggerating his wartime experiences while covering the Falklands War in 1982. Videos of his multiple instances of bragging about his coverage and heroism. Breakdown of O’Reilly’s stories versus the lies he told. O’Reilly’s stories of San Salvador being burned to the ground with fighting going on around him were also debunked by Bill’s own report from 1982. He is responding to the outrage with defiance, by pointing out that he’d be cleared and putting the Mother Jones reporter David Corn in the “Kill Zone.” Cenk predicts that O’Reilly pitting this as one side vs the other will cause people to think its just one man’s word against his. |

The Young Turks - 2.19.15: Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Rudy Giuliani, Obama, Rumsfeld, Nigerian Pastor & Bigot Dr
Cenk hosting today. Kareem Abdul Jabbar went on Morning Joe to distinguish the difference between terrorists and Muslims, comparing them to KKK members and their declaration that they’re Christians. Cenk compares the number of ISIS members are in comparison to the population of Iraq, to the number of Klansmen in comparison to the population of America when they were at their height. Rudy Giuliani told a Conservative group that President Obama doesn’t love America, or its citizens. That he was brought up differently than they rest of the people in the room. When Scott Walker was asked about the controversial comments, he dodged the question twice. President Obama explained why he chooses to not call terrorists Islamic terrorists. Although Cenk disagrees with this thought process, he understands why he took this narrative. Videos of Donald Rumsfeld comparing ISIS terrorists to German agitators of WWII. |

The Young Turks - 2.18.15: War Against ISIS, Krispy Kreme Apology, Circumcision & Unstoppable Runner
Live streaming from YouTube Space LA. Cenk hosting. Conservative bloggers are ranting and raving against President Obama for not doing enough against ISIS, Cenk breaks down that myth with reported airstrikes against ISIS and outrageous observations from Bill O’Reilly and Rev.Franklin Graham. Recent polls have also shown disapproval with Obama’s handling of ISIS, with that Chris Matthews chimes in on that with a lack from the lessons of history. |

Cenk hosts TYT. A triple murder in North Carolina is making news, where a young husband, wife, and sister were killed. The murderer is being analyzed for motives. It has been discovered he’s an anti-theist, hating all religions. He is also a gun enthusiast and hater of gun control. Although some are speculated that the killing was over a parking dispute he had with the victims, the father believes it was based on their Muslim background. Cenk thinks its not as simple as a parking dispute. After news of a young American woman was killed by ISIS when they captured her while doing humanitarian work, some Conservatives and Debbie Schlussel called her anti-Israel and a bitch due to her work with Palestinians. Video of Debbie Schlussel’s old video that TYT made fun of. |
Tue, 10 February 2015
Cenk hosts TYT. The dictator of Zimbabwe tripped last week and the image of it suddenly turned into a hilarious internet meme. Since he has no patience for jokes targeting him, he fired 27 security aides over it. Fox News continues to freak out about Obama’s speech pointing out the violence that has been carried out by Christianity in the past. Videos of Sean Hannity’s guest Star Parker calling it ‘verbal rape.’ Video mashup of Conservatives committing “verbal rape” on Muslim believers with their harsh words. A Saudi Arabian historian claimed that since they don’t allow their women to drive and Westerners do, they care more about whether or not their women get raped. Fox News addressed the rise of unbelievers with their own historian that claimed there is more evidence of Bible stories than Atheists could imagine. Since reports of botched executions are being reported more, Oklahoma is considering bringing back the gas chamber. |
Mon, 9 February 2015
Cenk hosting today. After Pres Obama spoke at the National Prayer Breakfast about all religions having killers that did it in the name of their God, Conservatives lost their minds. Video of Obama’s original remarks. Video compilation of pundits calling the point ridiculous and stupid. Eric Bolling also took on the subject in claiming that the number of violent killings from Christians totals zero. Cenk details the many horrific instances of murder and violence carried out by Christians. Tucker Carlson, Mike Huckabee, and EW Jackson also claimed that Christians delivered Black people from slavery and Jim Crow. Pictures of the KKK openly and obviously doing their hateful acts in church and in front of burning crosses. Cenk also reads some verses from the Bible that preach obtaining and keeping slaves. |

Dave Rubin, Jenn Hoffman and Molly Swenson discuss ISIS, 'highsexuals', selfie psychopaths and much more. |
Sat, 7 February 2015
Pastor James David Manning of ATLAH World Missionary Church has gone back and forth with Cenk Uygur, Ana Kasparian, and The Young Turks, and today they attempt to set the record straight. What did Pastor Manning mean when he said he wanted to stone gay men and wants Harlem to be a homo-free zone? Could Starbucks really be mixing "gay semen" into coffee because of the delicious taste? Is Manning himself tempted by homosexuality, which he describes as a choice? And what about his statements criticizing black male celebrities and speakers? Manning also addresses his statements that President Obama is neither black nor the president, and that he had also shot the mother his alleged love child outside the White House. Can an unaccredited university discredit a school with accreditation? Can it discredit the state of New York? |
Thu, 5 February 2015
John, Rubin, and Michael Shure hosting. NBC’s Brian Williams is under fire for revelations that he has been lying about the helicopter crash he was involved in while reporting on the Iraq War in 2003. Videos of him telling the story to David Letterman and Alec Baldwin on separate occasions over the years. Michael defended Williams mis-remembering the story. Rubin partially blames him for getting these details incorrect. The panel doesn’t see any shady reason he’d do this on purpose or push an agenda. Boko Haram fighters have attacked citizens in Cameroon, killing more. Several African nations have banded together to counter the terrorist organization’s murders. President Obama spoke to a Prayer Breakfast about the extremism of groups posing as religious groups, including some Christian ones. Rubin is over Obama and his dry, empty speeches. |
Wed, 4 February 2015
Johnny Pie, Jimmy Dore & Desi Doyen hosting. Cenk’s prediction came true, regarding new regulations and definition on wired, wireless internet and broadband. The announcement from FCC Chairman Tom Wheeler, brings in Title 2 and strengthens the importance of net neutrality. The panel answers the question which is important in their life, water or the internet. A follow up on the Jordanian pilot being executed by ISIS, with Fox News showing portions of the execution video, along with a renewed retaliation from Jordan. John Mccain comments on the execution by saying “if we are not winning the war we are losing the war”, along with a pursuit of giving resources and equipment to Jordan in fight against ISIS. |
Tue, 3 February 2015
John, David Rubin, and Jimmy host TYT. ISIS continues to get more barbaric with their executions of prisoners as they’ve released a video of a Jordanian pilot being burned alive. TYT has decided to not show any videos or pictures of the murder. Jimmy talks about what ISIS may be trying to achieve in doing this. Jordan has promised to get revenge, ramping up the violence. Talk about what the U.S. is supposed to do about this. The disagreement over children’s measles vaccinations continues after Chris Christie started the political debate. Videos of the CDC Director warning of the public dangers of avoiding vaccinations. The division of politicians on this subject doesn’t simply fall along political party lines, Video of Obama advocating vaccinations. Rubin and Jimmy want Obama to say it with authority. Megyn Kelly & BIll O’Reilly also believe in mandatory vaccines. Videos of some politicians that are not buying the fact that vaccines are important and necessary. Rep Sean Duffy, wants parents to make the call, as some don’t fit with some Americans’ values. John outlines Christie’s back and forth comments on this subject. Video of Rand Paul equating the parental decision to vaccinate to freedom. Paul also claimed that vaccines can cause mental disorders in kids. |

The Young Turks - 2.2.15: Porn-Again Christian, Gun Control, Student Suspended, W. Kamau Bell & Million Dollar Divorce
Cenk hosting. A born again Christian that describes himself as an anti porn crusader that offers to speak to church groups and their kids. The only problem is that he has been arrested 2 times since December for multiple counts of sexual abuse of minors. Stacey Dash has continued her stream of ridiculousness on Fox News by blaming raped college girls for not being “good girls.” Video of her claiming that the bad girls put themselves in bad situations when they go out, play, get drunk, and overdrink. Video of Andrea Tantaros adding onto the horrible argument by feeling bad for college guys being convicted before they do anything. America’s gun deaths are 10 per 100K people, compared to the UK; 0.23 per 100K. A study showed that the states with higher gun ownership and relaxed gun control results in higher gun deaths. |
Fri, 30 January 2015
Cenk, John, Jimmy, and Brian Unger hosting. An Idaho bill designed to discriminate against the LGBT community has been voted down, sparking a heartfelt speech from a Republican on the committee that was previously against gay rights. After nearly crying over his newfound compassion, he declared that he will still vote against their rights. The army found itself in the middle of a PR nightmare when they tweeted a message about “chinks in the armor of technology” causing them to immediately take it down. Cenk thinks that although the term, chinks in armor has nothing to do with an Asian slur, it still makes people’s mind go there, similar to niggardly. |
Thu, 29 January 2015
Cenk hosting. The Sarah Palin/Bill O’Reilly catfight continues. After Bill teased her running for president as a reality show, she bashed him as a quasi right winger. He responded by calling out her being on a reality show and said she shouldn’t get offended when no offense was intended. Another Conservative catfight is between Huckabee and Megyn Kelly after he lamented the cursing that he experienced in NYC from trashy women. After she gave Huckabee a pass for the entire segment, she did point out that women are drinking, smoking, and having premarital sex. A 3rd catfight sparked up between CNN’s morning shows and Morning Joe of MSNBC. CNN took out a full page NYT ad that brags about both of their morning shows beating Morning Joe for many consecutive months. Cenk brags about TYT’s numbers in comparison to both networks. Code Pink protested a Senate Hearing with Henry Kissinger and John McCain, demanding for Kissinger to be arrested for war crimes. Video of the protest, and McCain calling them lowlife scum before ‘profusely’ apologizing to Kissinger. Cliven Bundy’s son has been arrested after the police caught up with him on an outstanding warrant. He was arrested after verbally and physically resisting the police. |
Wed, 28 January 2015
Cenk and John hosting, the “Turkish Pie” hour. Now that Palin has shown her ass even more with her disjointed speech in Iowa, even Conservatives like Bill O’Reilly went after her with a teaser making fun of her potentially running for President as a reality show. Video of Palin responding by calling Fox News a quasi right wing network. Video of Sean Hannity tepidly asking Palin if her teleprompter went out at her horribly delivered Iowa speech. After pushing back at the media for asking such questions, Hannity surrendered and claimed to not be a part of that bunch. Video of Hannity losing his mind over Obama’s teleprompters. Cenk brings up how lost President Bush was without his teleprompter. The American Sniper bickering has reached Howard Dean after he called the movie-goers angry and Tea Party types. After he was criticized for these thoughts, he came back with an apology for offending the military, but not the rabid Right Wingers on Twitter coming for him. Mike Huckabee continues to push a folksy character as he begins his run for President. Video of Huckabee claiming that guns weren’t in schools when Bibles were there. John points out that in churches, where there are tons of Bibles and praying, violence in churches are on the rise. Video of Huckabee claiming that as we get away from the Bible and the objective word of truth, the worse off we are as a society. |

The Young Turks - 1.22.15: Senate on Climate Change, Joni Ernst, Mitt Romney vs. Huckabee & Marijuana News
Ben, Ana, and Iadarola hosting. The Senate passed an amendment to the Keystone Pipeline bill that declared climate change is not a hoax. Only one Senator voted against it. Sen Jim Inhofe voted in favor of this amendment, but took to the Senate floor later in the day to call climate change a hoax. BP tweeted that climate change is indeed real, but it has been taken down. Additionally, Mitt Romney admitted that he’s one of those Republicans that believes climate change is real. GOP Senators overwhelmingly rejected amendments that used the term “significantly” when describing human contributions to climate change. Ben points out that Romney and Jeb Bush met this week, possibly to talk about their separate plans to run for president. After Joni Ernst responded to the SOTU address with a poor upbringing story, it has been discovered that her family received nearly $500K in farm subsidies. She also debated that she is against subsidies while campaigning. Video of Mitt Romney’s ad that targeted Mike Huckabee with a Willie Horton-style message, that he never ran in the 2008 campaign. Ben talks about the horrible details of the serial rapist Huckabee released in Arkansas. |
Wed, 21 January 2015
Iadarola, Rubin, Jimmy, and RJ hosting. Talk about some of the larger issues that the president failed to mention at the SOTU Address last night. One was the success of ObamaCare. Talk about gay marriage and police brutality on undeserving citizens. Video of the zinger Obama snapped on condescending Republicans during the SOTU last night. When the GOP applauded his point about not running anymore campaigns, he responded by saying, “I know because I won both of them.” After the much talked about response, crybaby republicans complained that his tone won’t help him in working together. The GOP response to the SOTU was done by Joni Ernst, where she robotically went hokey in talking about her humble farming background, mentioning bread bags on her shoes. |
Tue, 20 January 2015
Ben, John, and Desi Doyen host TYT. Michael Moore has caused an uproar after tweeting and Facebooking about snipers, insinuating that they are cowards. Ben talks about the negative response he got after reviewing the movie American Sniper. Seth Rogen tweeted about how the movie resembles the film inside the film Inglorious Basterds. He was also condemned for comparing the sniper movie to one about a Nazi sniper. Talk about the things Chris Kyle openly said that illustrated negative parts of his character. After Fox News was flooded with ridicule for their “No Go Zones” talking points, they were forced to finally apologize for the false narrative. Video of Julie Banderas issuing one of the four apologies over the weekend. Ben thinks that the apology was well done. Despite the apology, the city of Paris is planning to sue Fox News Channel. Video of Bobby Jindal continuing to push the false narrative, but getting challenged by the CNN reporter in England. |
Mon, 19 January 2015
Johnny Pie & Ben “The Tank” Mankiewicz host TYT. President Obama will be proposing new tax reform policy and will be presenting it at tomorrow’s SOTU address. Fox News and Friends react to the proposal saying that President Obama is playing with politics and it is designed to enrage Republicans. Eric Holder has made a big move in “civil asset forfeiture” by limiting some of the amount of assets that the government can seize during a crime. In honor of MLK day, John and Ben read and take note of quotes by Martin Luther King. John has a slight disagreement with one of the quotes about religion and science. |

Cenk, Iadarola, Jimmy, and Maz Jobrani host the Power Panel. Maz talks about difficulty people had in pronouncing his name. Talks about trouble he had with convincing the old wrestler The Iron Sheik to act like he was pissed. After Duke University decided to allow a Muslim call to prayer every day on campus, it has been nixed due to Christian outcry led by Franklin Graham. Cenk points out how this kind of overall blame and disdain for Muslims is similar to what went on in Nazi Germany. Discussion about misrepresentation and misunderstanding of everyday Muslims. Saudi Arabia is building a huge wall to fend off potential ISIS militants from crossing over from their Iraqi border. |

After Fox’s terrorism analyst Steve Emerson caught hell for claiming that Birmingham England is ‘totally Muslim’ he was worried that his job is at stake and told the BBC about it. In reality, Fox News has been going crazy with the talking point of “No Go Zones.” Video of Hasselbeck talking with another expert about the no go zones, comparing them to breeding grounds like Afghanistan after 9-11. Video compilation of Fox News characters reiterating the term over and over since the attack. A guns group called The Truth About Guns conducted several simulations to find out what could’ve happened if the Charlie Hebdo offices had a gunman inside to respond to the attackers. They found that in every scene, the victims would’ve still died. President Obama has announced the creation of a panel to look into reforming police departments and their approach to interacting with their communities in less violent ways. The Young Turks - 12.5.14: Police Brutality, Pundits, Eric Garner, Rolling Stone, Chris Rock & Grand Theft Auto V
Cenk hosts TYT. Cal State University Monterey Bay was dealing with a suicidal student that was wielding a knife until the cops showed up. One campus officer calmed the kid down by talking to him. When backup arrived, the others tased him when the original cop left the room to bring him a glass of water. When it was all over, the department suspended the campus officer and filed a ‘failure to act’ complaint on him for not using physical force on the kid. The latest on the NYC officer’s accidental shooting death of a resident in a dark building. It has been reported that after he accidentally shot the man, he was texting his Union Rep for hours to cover his ass, instead of taking emergency action to save his life. New extended videos of Eric Garner lying on the ground, not breathing after police applied a chokehold on him to put him in handcuffs. Some Conservative pundits did place all the blame on Eric Garner for his death. Video mashup of the deplorable excuses. |

Cenk hosts TYT. Bill O’Reilly has launched his annual War on Christmas segments. Videos of his Agnostic psychotherapist telling him why Atheists hate Christians and Christmas so much. WolfPAC has taken its 3rd state to call for a Constitutional Convention to take money out of politics, in Illinois! Eric Holder has announced that the DOJ will investigate the killing of Eric Garner by NYPD police. Audio of one of the witnesses to Garner’s death lamenting the killing, and wondering what the future holds for his son. Peter King spoke to CNN about how much he supports the non-indictment of the NY cop that killed Garner. He blamed his death on obesity and questioned the racial motives since no one used a racial epithet during the attack. Protesters in St. Louis were preparing to protest the Eric Garner decision, but an angry motorist drove through the crowd and waved an automatic handgun at the people involved. After a car chased by police, he was pulled over and arrested, not shot to death. St. Louis County police tweeted a letter that questioned the innocence of Tamir Rice in Cleveland, blaming him for taking the orange tip off of the toy gun. They also elaborated that they have to assume the gun is real before figuring anything out. Catfight between the Koch Brothers and Santa Claus. A city in Alaska named North Pole has the largest oil refinery, which is leaking into the water supply. The city is suing the two companies that are responsible, one of which is Koch Industries. |

John Iadarola, Jimmy Dore, and Steve Oh host TYT. Video of a Ferguson protester interrupting CNN’s reporting by yelling The Young Turks! Videos of Darren Wilson appearing with George Stephanopoulos to tell his story. Jimmy pointed out that Stephanopoulos didn’t ask any tough questions, but allowed Wilson to look like a choir boy. Steve isn’t as upset at Steph, Jayar thinks the problem is the bias against Black people that has permeated throughout society, among all races. Wilson also doesn’t think he should have done anything differently, and feels remorse that a life was lost. John reads how Justice Scalia’s previous point about the Grand Jury works wasn’t followed by prosecutor Bob McCulloch. Michael Brown’s parents responded to Wilson’s interview giving his side of the story. They want change in the system, and respect for what they’ve gone through. Video of Rudy Giuliani on Fox News saying he would prosecute the Ferguson witnesses that claimed Wilson killed Brown without merit. Jayar points out the many times Black Americans were wrongfully convicted for life sentences or death, due to prosecutors and witnesses that blatantly went after them. |

Cenk and Iadarola host TYT today. After Ted Cruz tweeted that Net Neutrality is ObamaCare for the Internet, Sen Franken dispelled his misconceptions on CNN and explained why keeping the internet as it is doesn’t control the American people, the way Cruz is saying. Cenk doesn’t think Cruz is too dumb to understand this, but that he’s purposely deceiving his followers. Video of Ted Cruz responding to Franken with a straw man telephone analogy is played. Seven of the largest corporations in the country pay a -2.5% tax rate while paying their CEOs an average of $17 million/year. Researchers tested bankers with an Honesty Test. John, Cenk, Jimmy, and Dave host the hour 1 power panel. Cable news coverage of Ebola did not generate increased ratings, in fact their ratings declined compared to other months. Jimmy rants about how terrible cable news has become over time and gives a recent example of a report by Luke Russert. The panel gives their own examples of how cable and network news has become predictable and dishonest. Conservative news site ‘American News’ posted an article, from a satirical site, about the first person to die from a Death Panel. The person who they believed was killed was actress Bea Arthur, who passed away years ago. Rassmussen ran an a poll that asked how many people believe that Obamacare is ‘stupid’. |

The Young Turks - 11.12.14: Wolf PAC, Bill O'Reilly, Reza Aslan, Fundamentalism, Kim Kardashian & Science FTW
Cenk hosts TYT. Wolf-PAC update: Help is coming from MAYDAY.US and www.represent.us. In Tallahassee, FL a new ethics rule to limit contribution to city candidates for up to $250.00 and provide each voter with a tax rebate of up to $25.00. Catfight with Bill O’Reilly vs Reza Aslan both have written books about Jesus and Reza was asked about Billo’s book and mentioned that Jesus was about free medical care and helping the poor which would be a nightmare to Bill O’Reilly. A Pakistani police officer kill a prisoner with an ax for insulting the prophet Mohammed as well as an incident that took place in a village in Punjab when a local clerk told his community through a loudspeaker to kill a Christian couple for burning pages from the Koran. Also, a Pakistani court upheld the death penalty for a woman who committed blasphemy. |

John Iadarola and Ben Mankiewicz host TYT. Putin visits APEC and has a moment of humanity while placing a shawl on the first lady of China, Peng Liyuan. President Obama made an observation of Putin at APEC by saying he looks like “the bored kid in the back of the classroom”. The guys discuss Democratic Senator Joe Manchin of West Virginia, Republican obstructionism, and Manchin’s chancese in his next election. Ben’s prediction is that Joe Manchin could be the next “Joe Lieberman” of the Democratic Party. Concerns of killing the filibuster by Republicans are in play after the mid-term elections. John and Ben wonder if the Dems will use its strength like the Republicans have done, even though the rules of using it have changed. |

Cenk hosts TYT. The head of ISIS (Al-Baghdadi) was struck by a drone over the weekend and may have been critically wounded. Former President George W Bush was interviewed, talked about his father and mentioned that nothing was given to him and that he earned his way in to politics by himself. Republican Gordon Klingenschmitt was recently elected to the Colorado state house, wrote a book about exorcising demons and thinks that the demonic spirit of tyranny is using President Obama. He also claims to have performed an exorcism on a woman and cured her from being a lesbian. President Obama put out a statement today on net neutrality, saying net neutrality has its beginnings in the creation of the internet. He went on to say that the FCC should create a system for a level playing field for everyone and that the phone companies and internet providers should not be the gatekeepers. Ted Cruz says that “net neutrality is Obamacare for the internet: the internet should not operate at the speed of the government”. Andrew Napolitano chimes in on net neutrality on Stuart Varney’s show saying it’s “Orwellian”. |

Ana, Iadarola, and Jimmy Dore host TYT. Co-founder of The Weather Channel spoke to Megyn Kelly about how Climate Change is a hoax because of Al Gore. Video of Coleman shows him complaining about how tough it is to be a denier. Video of Coleman calling the proof bad science follows. Video of Coleman claiming that the ice caps are at their highest levels ever and polar bears are happily living at their largest population. Videos of Sarah Palin are played showing her spouting off about how Climate Change exists, but there is no evidence that its man made, comparing it to eugenics. Palin also ironically posted on her Facebook page that “limo Libs” are pushing climate change while ignoring regular folks like her. A video of a Climate Change PAC ad voiced by Woody Harrelson that pointed out that powerful people have been lying to Americans about harmful things like cigarettes is played. |

Cenk hosts TYT today. After model Chrissy Teigen tweeted about government shooting in Ottawa, comparing how regularly this happens in America. Videos of Fox News being shocked about her words, along with Andrea Tantaros saying that she’s just a dumb model with a nice bottom that doesn’t know what she’s talking about. They lamented her political point, right before making their political point. Notoriously insane NH lawmaker Steve Vaillancourt senselessly spoke out against a Democratic candidate, claiming that she is ugly as sin, and therefore can’t get elected. In response, a website has popped up to unelect him from his position. North Korea has announced travel bans from any foreign people planning on going to the country to avoid ebola spreading to their land. Iowa Sen candidate Joni Ernst has had some video from 2012 at the NRA surface where she vowed to use her handgun to fight the government if they try to limit her rights. Local NC Republicans are taking away a specific early voting place that is home to many college students that have gone Democratic lately, in hopes of eliminating their vote. Fox News’ Kim Guilfoyle said that young women voting is not a good idea because they don’t understand life, and should go back to Tinder and Match.com. The Wall St. Journal published Karl Rove’s piece that begged billionaires make one more money push to help the GOP win the upcoming election, resulting in 21 billionaires giving $20 million. Although GOP got this cash, Democrats got $5 million less from just 11 billionaires, illustrating how truly America has transitioned into an Oligarchy. |

Cenk hosts TYT. Sarah Palin’s PAC has raised $2.7 million with the promise to promote Republican candidates, but only gave $150K to candidates, only 5.5% of the money. During this election cycle, the PAC has $1.4 million on hand, and only gave $45K. The rest, and majority of the money went to her consultants, her book publisher, hotel stays, SUV rentals, and travel. Palin’s personal lifetime political donations total $628. Lawrence Lessig’s PAC, MayDay is looking to raise money to go after the elected officials that have benefitted and gone corrupt due to money in politics. GOP Rep. Fred Upton, head of the Energy and Commerce Committee isn’t very happy with this idea, so his staff is threatening the CEOs of companies that have contributed to MayDay by disregarding any of their interests that come across his table while he’s in charge. Upton proves the point of MayDay by illustrating the level of corruption he’s involved in. In America’s efforts to combine the war on terror with the war on drugs, we’ve spent $7.6 billion to fight opium in Afghanistan, but in that span, it has grown exponentially in the country. A poll on how disaffected people are with their government showed that the nations with the worst approval had the most perceived government corruption. |

The Young Turks - 10.20.14: Pumpkin Patch Riots, Cop Pulled Over, Ebola Panic & Republican Hypocrisy
Cenk hosts TYT. A Washington state citizen pulled a cop over and demanded ID and berated him for illegally using the vehicle under state law. Videos of the encounter are shown. Cenk loves this guy, and the cop for cooperating. Cenk points out that the White citizen got more leeway to pull off this brazen act. Jayar and Jesus talk about why this encounter actually annoyed them. Gov Corbett’s website has a banner of citizens lovingly interacting with him, including an elderly Black woman that turned out to be taken from a stock photo where the woman was conversing with her financial advisor. A riot broke out at a college in NH over pumpkins at a festival. Rowdy students flipped cars, attacked police, and were eventually pepper sprayed. Cenk compares this to the way Black Ferguson protesters were characterized in the media when riots broke out over the cops killing unarmed Michael Brown. |

Ashley Spillane is the president of Rock the Vote, and is working to help young voters realize how crucially important it is to exercise their right to vote. You may have seen the "Turn Out for What" music video with Lil' Jon- it's fun and lighthearted, but drives home the message to millenials that voting is an important way to support causes that matter to them. How can Rock the Vote combat apathy and other barriers preventing them from voting? What really stops young people from voting? |

Ana and Iadarola host TYT. As Ebola fear spreads in America, travel bans are becoming more and more prevalent and are now being debated among political figures. The list of lawmakers in favor of banning travel from West African nations affected is larger than those against it. Discussion over how this would be detrimental even though it sounds like a safe thing to do follows. Conservative Marc Siegel wrote a piece for the National Review on why we should do a travel ban even though he thinks it would actually be counter-productive. Since fearful politicians are advocating a ban on flights from Africa, John Boehner’s spokesman was asked if flights should be banned from Texas, where the only American cases reside. He dodged the question. Video of Shep Smith voicing how wrong it is for media figures to mislead the American people on the spreading of ebola is shown. While the 2nd nurse infected with Ebola was being airlifted to Atlanta for treatment, one mystery man involved wasn’t wearing any protective gear, and people noticed. |
Wed, 15 October 2014
Cenk hosts TYT. Pastor Ron Baity of Berean Baptist Church, is claiming that Ebola is god’s wrath for gay weddings and that “rogue judges” have gone against the ministry. Tony Perkins of the Family Research Council has given Baity an award for those who are faithfully working to engage the culture in Jesus Christ. Members of Ohio pastor Ernest Angley’s church are coming forward with allegations of sexual abuse . Death threats are made against feminist speaker, Anita Sarkeesian, causing her to cancel an event at Utah State University. |
Tue, 14 October 2014
Cenk hosts TYT. The Koch brothers are organizing their rich donors with “dark money” in a new Super PAC called “Freedom Partners Action Fund” with 25 million already in the bank. One of the donors, Ronnie Cameron, a 69 year old Arkansas poultry producer, is donating over the concern that his grandchildren will live under the threat of communism. Democratic candidate, Wendy Davis, is running an ad against Republican Greg Abbott for US Senate in TX, criticizing his record on tort reform. However, Sean Hannity and Greg Abbott are playing the victim by showing Greg Abbott in a wheelchair. Wendy Davis appears on MSNBC with Andrea Mitchell and defends the ad. Alexander Stubb, Finland’s Prime Minister, claims that the IPhone is killing the economy of Finland. |
Mon, 13 October 2014
Cenk hosts TYT. The Vatican is discussing a new policy on gays. Their new document allows Catholics to welcome gay people into their community without believing it destroys their belief system. One Vatican expert called the opinion an earthquake to the system. This is seen as a re-education of Catholic followers that have been programmed. After the SCOTUS rejected cases that allowed gay marriage, the Republican Party are split on how to respond. Videos on the issue: Mike Huckabee threatens to leave the Party and tells them to grow a spine to fight gay rights. On the other hand, on Fox News Sunday, Chris Wallace and a pro gay rights guest teamed up on Tony Perkins, who is staying strong against equal rights. Wallace challenged him over what a gay couple will effectively do to harm his family. Research on polls that have accepted gay rights more and more showed that respondents changed their negative answer to positive when they were told they were being questioned by a gay person. Cenk remembers the rabid way Fox & Friends opposed Obama implementing Czars in his Admin. Video of Steve Doocy calling for Obama to install an Ebola Czar just today is played. A Wolf-PAC announcement is made. |
Mon, 29 September 2014
Cenk hosts TYT today. President Obama told 60 Minutes that the intelligence department underestimated the ISIS threat as it built itself amongst the chaos of Iraq. He also said that we overestimated the willingness of Iraqis to fight. Obama outlines why we have to go in militarily to disrupt their networks in a video. Cenk is annoyed by Obama’s lack of clarity or understanding of how to do anything. Videos of Fox News’ Chris Wallace going after Obama spox Blinken over the Administration’s use of the authorization after they officially came out against the authorization to use force are also shown. In addition, Wallace grilled Blinken on Obama restarting the war after declaring the decade of war is over. Cenk points out that the past few Spox and advisors have similar names. Khorasan, the newly publicized terror group that we’re bombing in Syria has some usefulness for our scare tactics. New evidence shows that since we already declared that ISIS isn’t an imminent threat, we needed an immediate enemy threat that justifies our aggression, so we created this one in order to bomb targets connected to ISIS. A new president has been elected in Afghanistan and we’ve announced that we’ll be keeping 10K troops in the country indefinitely. Oddly enough, there was a suicide bomber near the location of the swearing in ceremony for the new president. |

Dr. Christopher Ryan is the writer of Sex at Dawn, a definitive book on human sexuality in the modern age, but also way back in our past. Is monogamy natural, or does promiscuity come easier to us? Where did our modern ways of sex, grouping, child-rearing, and social structuring come from, and how did ancient humans mitigate the same topics? How have penises and vaginas evolved over time? Christopher Ryan discusses our prehistoric sexual history and how we've evolved and changed into the modern era. |

Ben, Ana, and Iadarola host TYT. The Obama Administration announced that Eric Holder will be stepping down by year’s end. President Obama and Holder speak on the decision in a video. Ben talks about the litany of non-scandals Republicans have tried to nail on Holder vs the number of really big accomplishments he’s had. Speculation over why he’s now resigning follows, including the possibility of being nominated to the Supreme Court if Ginsburg steps aside. Many Conservatives are very happy to see Holder go. Andrea Tantaros claims that Holder ran the DOJ like the Black Panthers. Video shows former VJ Kennedy chiming in to say he is slimier than a salamander covered in vaseline. Jonah Goldberg calls Holder a hatchet man for the President before claiming he somehow was giving a pass to the media. Ben talks about Goldberg’s comparison of Holder to Bobby Kennedy. He also appeared on CBS and claimed that another 9/11 needs to happen to give us the desire to fight. Buzzfeed reviewed some of Rand Paul’s insane writings while in college. John reads his stances on domestic policy surrounding food stamps and starving citizens. |
Mon, 22 September 2014
Ben and John host TYT. A Climate Change march of 400K people occurred over the weekend in NYC. A 45 min audio recording from ISIS calls for their potential supporters all over the world to begin killing citizens in their own countries that support the Western invasion. Ben isn’t so sure that ISIS ever had any plans to attack us, but they do now. A Senior Admin official announced that some citizens that are currently being monitored have traveled abroad to fight with the Islamic group, and have returned. A poll showed that a majority of Americans feel that religion is losing influence on society. Also, numbers on how unhappy evangelicals are about the falling numbers and religious people that believe they are discriminated against due to their religious beliefs are examined. |

Now, R.A. talks to Cenk Uygur about "Shoot Me in The Head," a controversial song about the state of the American political system Republicans, Democrats, and news reporting. Why did he choose to spotlight Nancy Pelosi, Keith Olberman, Bill O'Reilly, Fox News, and MSNBC in the song? why does he called Joe Biden and other democrats racist? R.A. the Rugged Man talks to Cenk Uygur about the song, his journey as a rapper, and his new album, "Legends Never Die." |

Cenk, Ben, John, and Wes Clark Jr host TYT. A report states that Chris Christie is not connected to Bridgegate. Christie says he isn’t surprised in a video. The panel responds. Even though everyone will declare that he didn’t do it, Cenk points out that they simply didn’t get someone to flip and tell on him, and that they couldn’t find the smoking gun. Ben predicts that Christie isn’t going to run in 2016. Congress is about to take another 7 week recess until after the midterm election so that they can focus solely on campaigning. Due to this constant lack of action, Cenk says that the Republicans’ plan of delaying & filibustering in order to stop Obama from doing anything has worked. NC Republican Mark Walker, running for Congress, has been recorded saying that he is open to bombing some parts of Mexico out of fear of cartels coming across the border. He also claimed he was open to starting up a little war with Mexico. An investigation into the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints over child labor is hitting a wall over subpoenaing one of the church leaders based on the Hobby Lobby decision. A federal judge cited the ruling as a reason to release the leader from being questioned. |
