Hour 1: Cenk. As Republican lawmakers work toward finalizing legislation to overhaul the U.S. tax code, consumer advocates are bracing for an ensuing showdown over entitlement programs. At issue is the $1 trillion or so that the tax-cut package would add to the federal deficit over a decade even after economic growth is taken into account, according to estimates from the Joint Committee on Taxation. Advocates' concern is that the GOP will pursue ways to pare the federal government's most expensive budget line items — which also happen to be social safety nets — to offset the price tag of their tax-cut package. The Senate Intelligence Committee is looking at the presidential campaign of the Green Party’s Jill Stein for potential “collusion with the Russians,” a sign that the panel’s probe is far from over, even as allegations swirl that the House Intelligence Committee’s investigation is racing to a close. Hour 1: Cenk & John. Ryan and McConnell have ushered the biggest tax overhaul in a generation through Congress and delivered President Donald Trump his first major legislative victory since Inauguration Day. But on the periphery is palpable angst, particularly in the House. Just hours before the Tuesday vote, some House Republicans fretted privately about the prospect of getting railroaded into propping up Obamacare by the end of the week. And conservatives have been stewing quietly over a looming legislative package coming in early January that most believe will increase spending and codify an Obama-era immigration program they believe is illegal.

Hour 2: Are SJW's ruining Star Wars? Catt Sadler has quit her position as an E! News host after discovering that she was being paid about half of what her male co-host, Jason Kennedy, was making. Sadler had been with E! for years, appearing on TV since 2006 as a host of The Daily 10 and then E! News. This year, she also became the host of Daily Pop, a two-hour daytime show, and an E! executive informed her of the “massive disparity” in pay around the time she took on that gig. Shortly after that, E! reached out to renew her contract, and she decided to fight. Facial recognition-based features are nothing new to Facebook. The company has used facial recognition for some time now to suggest friends to tag in photos. On Tuesday, however, the company announced it's expanding its facial recognition features to help combat fake accounts using another person's photos, and to alert users whenever a photo or video is posted with him or her in it.

Cenk. FCC repeals net neutrality despite 84% of Americans being against the repeals. Kentucky lawmaker Dan Johnson fatally shot himself Wednesday, two days after allegations surfaced that he had molested a member of his church when she was 17 years old, officials said.

Segment 2
Cenk & John. Today marks the 5 year anniversary of the Sandy Hook shooting. During the Thursday White House press briefing, Sarah Huckabee Sanders was asked by Margaret Brennan of CBS News that since Sandy Hook has now been eclipsed by the Las Vegas massacre, what has President Trump done or what does he plan to do to protect the American people against a similar type of tragedy. Since, it seems, there’s always one around the corner these days. Huckabee Sanders quickly deflected the question, turning the topic broadly towards Trump’s favorite talking points, border security and vetting processes — despite the fact that both of the aforementioned tragedies were committed by U.S. citizens with legally obtained weapons. Brennan continued to press Huckabee Sanders, asking her point blank if the administration is looking for ways to prevent domestic shooters on U.S. soil. “Absolutely, I know that’s something that the Department of Homeland Security looks at and talks about and works on every single day,” she said. “I don’t think there’s a person in this country that wouldn’t like us to find ways to protect people.” When Brennan interjected, Huckabee Sanders snapped, “Well I don’t think there’s any one thing you could to that would have prevented either one of those, ah, instances, those horrible, horrible tragedies.”

The rape of Rohingya women by Myanmar's security forces has been "sweeping" and "methodical," according to a report by the Associated Press. The news agency says a "sickening sameness" has emerged in 29 interviews with women and girls, ranging in age from 13 to 35, who fled to Bangladesh from Myanmar. Each woman said she was raped by a group of men. Every woman, except one, said her rapists wore military-style uniforms. The one woman who said her assailants wore plain clothes also said that her neighbors recognized the men as being stationed at the local military outpost. Many of the women said their assailants' uniforms had either star or arrows on them. AP says the patches "represent the different units of Myanmar's army."
