Hour 1: A San Diego man was sentenced to 1 year in prison after continuous threats to CAIR offices in SD and DC. His attorney told the judge that he carried out the terror threats because he was drinking heavily and binge watching Fox News about the Charlie Hebdo shooting. Claire McCaskill has come out against Bernie Sanders’ chance at winning the election if he beats Hillary in the primary. Video of her claiming it’s hard for Americans to see that Socialism is the answer to the country’s problems. Discussion over the viability of Clinton as the nominee.
Hour 2: Ana, Kim Horcher, and Margaret Howell for SCS. Sarah Palin’s son Track Palin has been arrested for domestic violence on his girlfriend. He also had an AR-15 nearby. Video of Sarah Palin telling a crowd that her son suffers from PTSD, offering it as a reason for his violence on a woman. R. Kelly was interviewed by GQ and promised to offer answers about his case regarding sex and urination with an underaged girl. He dodged the question about whether or not he was in the video. He blamed his abusive tendencies on his rough and abusive upbringing. The confusing interview also had Kelly compare himself to “the old Bill Cosby.” The Zika virus has been afflicting many babies around the world. A pregnant mother that was bitten by a mosquito transfers the virus to the unborn baby, leading to defects and a short life for the newborn. Amnesty International looked into the background of where many of our smartphones come from. They discovered that mining for the lithium ion batteries are done by children in The Democratic Republic of Congo for little to no money. Thousands of students are applying for debt forgiveness, citing that they were defrauded by their schools, as allowed by a law implemented in the ‘90s.
